Ian started his career with British Airways and then joined Virgin Atlantic as one of the first Managers in Engineering. He progressed to GM level, building his team to over 300 staff. In 2000 Ian left Virgin to join an aircraft leasing company as Senior VP where he was heavily involved in projects throughout the world; this included a year commuting to Alabama, USA. In 2004 Ian became a founder director of Vueling Airlines, a low cost airline based in Barcelona, and following expansion of the fleet to 35 A320’s and a merger with Clickair he returned to the UK to take up the position of Managing Director at Line Up. In May 2011 Ian completed the acquisition of Line Up Ltd (trading as Line Up Aviation) and became Chief Executive. Ian brings a wealth of aviation experience and contacts to the company and is now focused on developing strong organic growth using the latest technology whilst maintaining the traditional values established by Line Up over the last 22 years.
Matthew joined Lloyds Bank after graduating in 1984. He progressed rapidly, from Assistant Branch Manager to Branch Manager and then Business Banking Manager. In 1999 Matthew joined Line Up as Financial Controller and in May 2011 was promoted to Financial Director and Company Secretary. He brings over 10 years experience in providing payroll solutions for the supply of personnel for management, maintenance and engineering positions around the world. He has worked heavily in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Canada and Singapore and has helped secure for Line Up either labour leasing licences or representative offices in those countries in support of the payroll solutions offered.
Neil started his career in recruitment 17 years ago having already had a successful career in aviation including service with Airlines and Ground Service companies, he has worked in several countries including the USA, France and Holland.
Neil has experience at all levels of recruitment, from recruiting board room executives through to managing large labour intensive onsite airport contracts. He has held various positions of corporate responsibility from senior management to company ownership.
Over the years Neil has developed a wealth of specialist recruitment knowledge, this knowledge supported by a passion for recruitment, aviation, good business practice and determination means that he is able to forge meaningful business relationships that concentrate on providing bespoke recruitment solutions to the Aviation industry, in particular MRO Operations and Airlines.
Neil has the responsibility of driving the strategic development of the Line Up Aviation brand internationally providing cost effective recruitment solutions to both current and developing clients.
Ben has been in the recruitment industry for over 12 years establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with a broad range of blue chip clients. Ben brings with him extensive commercial experience and skills and has a natural passion and determination for specialist recruitment at all levels. He has a refreshing approach to recruitment and training with an innovative presence in search and selection which has been demonstrated in the development of new clients for Line Up Aviation. Ben has responsibility for driving the strategic direction of the company within the UK market where he is instrumental in developing and managing teams in new markets and providing solutions to our current and new clients.
