A rapidly expanding and successful airline, with an extensive domestic network in west Africa and an increasing International schedule.
Work Scope - Permanent Position
The Scheduling and Planning Manager is responsible for generating significant revenue and reduce operating costs by deciding which market to serve, how often, when to fly and which type of aircraft to assign to a specific route. Essential to this role is the ability to combine core flight scheduling, profitability forecasting and analysis, fleet assignment and slot management.
The Role
1. Plan and maximize the schedule to produce the best commercial return
2. Develop flight schedule that meets our guests' needs and operational requirements
3. Provide strategic and tactical analysis when developing profitable and operationally feasible schedule
4. Increase profitability by enhancing the flight schedule
5. Evaluate the profitability of a given schedule to assist in strategic, long range planning
6. Increase aircraft utilisation
7. Create, compare and review multiple schedule options
8. Identify strengths and weaknesses within the companies schedule as well as quantify the impact a particular schedule change many have i.e effective management of schedule changes
9. Create efficient timetables and report the consequences of timetable changes
10. Slot management - reporting on current slot status
11. Create slot strategies and identify new opportunities to take advantage of under utilized slots
12. Manage and track slot rights
13. Forecast passenger demand, passenger traffic and passenger revenue on all services
14. Minimise aircraft dependability related costs
Qualifications / Experience
• 3 years experience in this role
• A' Level standard
Technical Requirements
• Relevant schedule and planning courses
