Job Summary: As a Wire Harness / Accessories Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring aircraft accessory components are in peak condition. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, repair, modification, testing, and inspection of aviation accessory equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical repairs and modifications following manufacturer instructions and repair station protocols.
- Apply fundamental electrical installation techniques for component assembly.
- Rework connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, lugs, and other components integral to a Wire Harness.
- Troubleshoot product failures, diagnosing issues and performing necessary maintenance to restore functionality.
- Operate electronic test equipment for accurate testing and troubleshooting.
- Utilize hand tools effectively to perform component maintenance and repairs.
- Perform high-quality soldering work that meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Accurately document all work, tests, and inspections.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with managers and team members.
- Conduct routine production assembly operations on CFM56 engine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, aircraft systems, and accessories, following OEM manual guidelines.
Qualifications: We’re looking for someone with the following skills and expertise:
- 2+ years of experience in engine harness wire routing, wire dressing, harness repairs, and cannon plug repairs.
- Proficient in wire hookups, resistance and continuity checks.
- Experience with functional testing of fuel nozzles.
- Skilled in testing and repairing ball screw actuators, VSV actuators, and testing equipment.
