Supplier Quality Specialist

Our client has an opportunity for a Supplier Quality Specialist to join them on a contract basis. You will be travelling to and from suppliers on the south coast, completing product verification and in-process inspections.

Role: Supplier Quality Specialist
Location: Isle of Wight based – 5 days onsite
Contract Length: 6 months initially
Hourly Rate: Discussed Upon Application, via Umbrella, inside IR35

What you’ll be doing:

• Product verification and in-process inspections.
• Review of First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102.
• Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) review and acceptance.
• Creating and presenting metrics and performance data.
• Liaison with the Program and Engineering.

Requirements:

• Inspection of composites is essential
• Background in quality/inspection, be able to understand and interpret 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings, production paperwork and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience in the manufacture of composite, machined and fabricated parts and assemblies and knowledge of the installation of electrical/electronic line replaceable units (LRU), experience on wire looms and fuel systems would be an advantage.
• Experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard, be able to articulate non-compliance/conformities to the document owners and progress through to a compliant resolution.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Computer skills will be required to input data into a number of different on and off-line systems and applications.
