Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth within your respective region. This role requires a proven track record in selling time-critical freight services, exceptional sales skills, and a deep understanding of the logistics needs in key industries.


Business Acquisition

  • Identify and acquire new business to expand the customer portfolio.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers.
  • Arrange and conduct customer visits as required and follow up on network and sales leads.
  • Maintain strong relationships within the international network.

Revenue Growth

  • Contribute actively to year-on-year gross revenue increases through both existing and new business.

Sales Support

  • Follow up on freight quotes with customers and participate in tender preparations and submissions.
  • Update the CRM tool with new customer contacts, deals, meeting minutes, and follow-ups.

Operational Coordination

  • Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist in debt collection and provide translation support as needed.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Use CRM tools to manage client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales within the logistics industry, focusing on time-critical freight.
  • MUST have a strong contact base within the aviation industry. ie MROs, OEMs, brokers, suppliers etc who you can sell too.
  • MUST have good contacts within logistics industry, also.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of logistics requirements in aviation, maritime/ship spares, automotive, semiconductors, or medical device technology.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to the specific region are a plus.
