On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Electrical Skilled Production Team Leader to join on an initial 6-month contract.

Role: Electrical Skilled Production Team Leader
Pay: £34 per hour via Umbrella
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Contract: 6-month contract
Location: Farnborough
IR35 Status: Inside
SC Clearance: BPSS

Tasks and Accountabilities

  • Leadership, coaching and work allocation to a team of skilled electrical production technicians
  • Equipment assembly, test, installation, wiring and system integration of engineering platforms
  • Awareness of teams’ workload and ensuring equipment is built OTOCOQ (on Time, On Cost, On Quality)
  • Fault finding and problem solving of issues that arise
  • Building to defines standards and maintaining build records
  • Health and Safety process adherence and reporting
  • Self-certification of work completed
  • Continuous Improvement of the production system
  • Contribution to problem solving and corrective action delivery
  • Safe handling and protection of very fragile and flexible components

Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on multi-skilled practical avionic/electronic engineering technician
  • Demonstrated experience of supervision/leadership /coaching of a small team
  • Experience of hands-on production of hardware and wiring installations
  • Demonstrated experience / knowledge / delivery of product test phase
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aerospace or similar production/maintenance processes to high quality standards
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and interpret requirements into finished products
  • Conducting and recording of installation and system integration tests
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience pro-actively solving technical problems
  • Quality conscious working method and organised approach to tasks
  • Enjoy using own initiative, working unsupervised and taking responsibility for task packages
  • Enjoy providing technical input and advice to design teams and peers on manufacturing procedures, issues, and ideas for improvement
