Job Title: Aviation Production Supervisor – Engine Shop (CFM56-7B/5B)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our aviation engine maintenance department. This role is critical to ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency, while aligning with FAA regulations and company objectives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, capable of guiding technicians, managing priorities, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision:
Plan, assign, and prioritize daily work for technicians. Provide clear direction, monitor performance, and ensure timely task completion while maintaining quality standards. -
Workforce Management:
Monitor time and attendance, approve work hours, and ensure technicians properly log tasks according to company policies and procedures. -
Compliance & Quality Control:
Ensure all maintenance activities strictly adhere to CFM engine manuals, FAA regulations, and internal quality standards. Conduct quality control checks and verify correct use of tools and documentation. -
Training & Development:
Conduct regular performance reviews and on-the-job training (OJT). Evaluate and sign off on employee proficiencies to ensure technicians meet all competency and safety requirements. -
Job Readiness & Oversight:
Confirm all technicians are equipped with the appropriate tools, instructions, and documentation for assigned tasks. Provide direct supervision to those unfamiliar with specific techniques or procedures. -
Documentation & Systems Management:
Manage and issue documentation through Quantum, ensuring accurate job tracking, parts usage, and maintenance records in compliance with operational and regulatory requirements. -
Continuous Improvement:
Lead and support initiatives to enhance shop efficiency, reduce waste, improve safety practices, and streamline production processes. -
Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture. Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 10 years of aviation maintenance experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required

Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Proven leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with CFM56-7B or CFM56-5B engine assembly/disassembly

Strong ability to interpret Engine Shop Manuals (ESM) and technical documentation

Skilled in the use of standard aviation tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
