Aircraft Engine Technician – CFM56-3/-7
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Engine Technician to maintain, inspect, disassemble, rebuild, and troubleshoot CFM56-3 and CFM56-7 engines in accordance with FAA standards. This full-time position operates on an eight-hour schedule with occasional overtime and weekend work. Technicians will work in hangars, repair stations, and on airfields.
Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, a high attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex systems and technical information.
Key Responsibilities:

Engine Maintenance: Perform inspections, disassembly, troubleshooting, and reassembly of CFM56-3/-7 engine components and accessories.

Testing: Conduct regular functional tests to ensure engines operate safely and efficiently.

Part Installation: Replace faulty or damaged components with approved parts to maintain engine performance and compliance.

Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate inventories of tools, materials, and supplies. Complete detailed repair logs and reports, documenting all work performed.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Basic mechanical skills

Proficient in English (written and verbal)

Authorized to work in the United States

Ability to pass FAA/DOT pre-employment drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience assembling and disassembling CFM56-7B and/or CFM56-5B engines

Goal-oriented and meticulous with strong teamwork and independent work skills

Well-organized with basic computer proficiency

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Capable of performing under pressure with precision and focus

Physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily performed in a shop environment. The role requires:

Standing, walking, climbing, and driving for extended periods

Lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly and manipulating up to 100 lbs. with assistance

Working in noisy environments and accessing hard-to-reach components
