My client is currently developing a new-generation single-turbine helicopter, delivering high performance and offering the largest cabin in its class:

Role: Flight test instrumental engineer
Location: Mollis, GL on site
Contract: Contract
Duration: 12 months
workload: 100%

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement flight test instrumentation equipment on the aircraft (strain gauges, thermocouples, accelerometers and a variety of other electrical components/sensors as well as data recording and telemetry equipment)
  • Manage the on-board and ground station software and instrumentation configuration. Support pre- and post-test briefings as well as ground and flight tests in accordance with established test plans and procedures
  • Ensure sensor calibration/data accuracy and validity of data
  • Temporary assignment overseas in support of flight test campaigns
  • Establish department related calibration procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years working experience in instrumentation and/or electronics engineering
  • HF knowledge and experience with air to ground telemetry highly desired
  • Desirably working experience in flight test instrumentation, in designing and selecting strain gauge circuitry and in calibration standards and related business procedures.
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Experience in troubleshooting of hard and software systems
  • Good team player skills, self-driven attitude and a great communicator
  • Aviation experience highly desired (knowledge of EASA Part 21 J&G and CS27 is an advantage)
  • English minimum B2 (verbal & written), a working knowledge of German language an asset
