On behalf of our fantastic aerospace client, we are seeking to recruit a Fuel System Design Engineer on a 9-month basis. As Fuel System Design Engineer, you will join the Refuel, Vent and Transfer Group within the Fluid Mechanical Systems Department in the Fuel Systems Domain as a system design engineer. You will be deployed to the research and technology team to work on the overall fuel system for a future aircraft design.

Role: Fuel System Design Engineer
Pay: £45.20 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: Monday to Friday, 35 Hours per week, 9 Months
Location: Filton/Hybrid
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS


  • System sizing – engine feed, refuel, transfer, vent, inerting and water management
  • Fuel tank availability analysis including ETOPs
  • System architecture definition dossier
  • Equipment bill of materials compilation
  • Flowmaster network creation
  • Definition of system functions and design drivers identified for the functional hazard assessment
