Job Title: Head of Global Engine Support, EMEA Region
Location: Hounslow, West London

Scope of Role

The Head of our clients Global Engine support division (EMEA Region), is principally located in the UK. This role is the appointed Form 4 holder, reporting to the Accountable Manager. The incumbent will provide business and technical leadership of all activities for the region, ensuring the highest levels of safety, operational performance and regulatory compliance whilst maintaining a strong focus on product & process improvement, cost control, productivity, and team building. Works closely with direct reports and labour to insure optimal productivity and positive labour relations.

Ket Accountabilities & Responsibilities

    • Appointed as the UK CAA and EASA Form 4 holder.
    • Manage and support the Integration of the London facility and the team into our client’s business unit.
    • Is responsible for the delivery of On-Wing Services and In-Flight Support services allocated to London as per business contract.
    • Develop and execute business strategy and plan through direct leadership of regional personnel.
    • Is responsible for budgetary compliance and cost.
    • Align and implement clients Group Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
    • Implement and deliver Lean / CI programs that deliver benefits at local and network level.
    • Provide leadership and direction to regional organization including labour workforce to maximize productivity and output in accordance with collective bargaining agreements where applicable whilst ensuring necessary resources are available.
    • Execute regional performance goals and objectives aligning with GES and company goals.
    • Interface with regulatory authorities and local governments, including international locations, to ensure regulatory compliance of technical operations activities on a global basis.
    • Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, financial, compliance, safety and human resource related performance objectives.
    • Build / reinforce a fair and respectful work environment.
    • Maintain a high level of communication with all levels & employee groups within region.
    • Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to GES General Manager.
    • Identify key issues needing to be addressed and assign projects where applicable.
    • Execute strategic goals in collaboration with employee groups as well as cross divisional.
    • Maintain excellent labour relations with both unionized and non-unionised employee groups.

Experience

  • Business acumen in leading a growing and developing MRO company.
  • 10 years in a leadership role within an aviation maintenance organization.
  • Experience in engine maintenance at both operational and management levels.
  • Engaged in Lean / CI activities and training.

Competencies

  • A proven successful track record in managing medium scale maintenance operations, with multiple locations is a plus.
  • Strong background and technical knowledge on engines and maintenance programs.
  • Strong cultural awareness to build and maintain professional relationships on a global basis.
  • Excellent command of English language.

Candidates that hold a recognised university degree or an MBA will have an advantage.
