My client is looking for an Inspection Preparator to join on them in a Permanent Position. As an Inspection Preparator, you will be responsible for assisting the disposition team by Identifying components and preparing components and LOT boxes ready for disposition in accordance with schedule and priorities. The job holder will also support the development of new production processes required to
maintain the company’s competitive position.

Role: Inspection Preparator
Pay: From £22,900 per annum + shift allowance
Location: West London
Permanent Position
Hours: 40 hours (Double Day shift) Monday to Friday. One week earlies, one week lates.
Right to work within the UK without any restrictions

Job Profile
* To embrace and actively improve the LEAN processes

  • To ensure all KPI targets for the department are met
  • Accurately Identify components using documents and technical OEM references and preparing them for disposition
  • To perform initial identification of components and prepare components and LOT boxes for initial disposition.
  • Disassembly of small parts.
  • Local paint removal of parts after disassembly.
  • Assisting with improvements and changes to documents and liaising with Internal customers to ensure changes / improvements are completed.
  • Assisting and working with the disposition team to meet deadlines and work effectively.
  • Prepare and group parts I.A.W documents ready for disposition and inspection, ensuring that components are clean and in a condition which allows effective inspection.
  • Other duties as directed by the Team Leader or Section Manager.
  • Work to Production priority lists as detailed by Production Control.
  • Interface with Technical Engineering, Paint strip, Teardown, Measurement & other Production Departments.
  • To promote and monitor compliance with legislation, company policy and codes of practice relating to Health and Safety at work.
  • To be aware of company policies, procedures and agreements in order to:
  • Work within established company policies, procedures and agreements;
  • Avoid setting precedents which could be detrimental to operations and the business.
  • An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures.
  • You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book
  • You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience.

Skills/Experience Required
Experience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Environment preferred

  • Previous knowledge and experience of having worked with Landing Gear components
  • Previous knowledge of manuals and Boeing websites
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good team player.
  • Good attitude to workshop housekeeping.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
