Level 2 NDT Technician

Seeking an aerospace Level 2 NDT Technician (Eddy current) for 6 month+ contract in Feltham
Eddy Current Aerospace Level 2 qualified essential. Other industry qualifications (e.g. oil & gas will not be suitable).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and Understand Work Instructions, Component Maintenance Manuals (C.M.M.), operating procedures and Customer Spec. requirements
• Demonstrate Knowledge and understanding of process paperwork and Parts control
• Carry out NDT inspection of W&B components
• Carry out daily checks within NDT cells
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functional
• Find ways to continuously improve processes within department
• Work to strict company health & safety polices
• Know and understand risk assessments associated with task, including any Task Risk Assessment or COSHH Assessment referenced in the WI

· Tests aircraft wheels & brakes and components in Ultrasonics, Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle and Penetrant applications.

Qualifications:

Essential:
·Eddy Current Aerospace Level 2 qualified essential
·Experience in TQ environment desirable, experience in Aviation industry is a must.
·General knowledge of precision measuring tools with skills and prior work experience in hydraulics or pneumatics, knowledgeable in an electronic environment.

Desirable:
·Be able to produce documented and certified previous OJT hours.
·Current Aerospace EN4179/NAS410 or PCN within any additional methods: UT, ET, PT, and MT.
·3 or more years’ experience in a related field in a high production, fast-paced environment.
·Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and technical publications to perform duties in compliance with customer requirements.
·General knowledge of precision measuring tools with skills and prior work experience in hydraulics or pneumatics, knowledgeable in an electronic environment.

Additional Information:
·Working hours: 06:30-18:30 4 on 4 off
·£32.50/hour PAYE only
