Our client, a major player in the European Business Aviation sector, have seen significant customer demand over the last eighteen months. Due to on-going expansion, they are now looking for a Maintenance Operational Controller to join the existing team in Malta.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the MOC Manager and Continuing Airworthiness Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Be a primary point of contact for Flight Crew and Maintenance regarding technical issues
- Evaluate reported aircraft discrepancies and develop appropriate recovery plans for routine maintenance
- Communicate recovery plan requirements for AOG aircraft to OPS and OCC
- Ensure full compliance at all times
- Maintain updated information on company software track, reporting on aircraft recovery plans and stage by stage progress
- Provide adequate supervision to contract maintenance personnel, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with applicable technical and regulatory publications
- Establish return to service time estimates for AOG aircraft
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to perform maintenance when operational schedules permit
- Identify and communicate to OPS any aircraft operating restrictions as imposed by MEL items
- Create daily due list items to ensure any applicable or potential over flight potentials are identified and a closure plan is created
- Support daily “day of operations” in readiness of aircraft change requirements
- Aircraft Parts coordination and requisition
Required Skills and Experience:
- EASA license Cat B or equivalent qualification and experiences
- Minimum five years of experience in a maintenance-based aviation position
- Experience with applicable regulations, maintenance methods and aviation safety standards
- Working knowledge and understanding of maintenance operations conducted under EU-OPS and aircraft related technical manuals
- Understanding of manufacturer’s maintenance programs
- High flexibility and ability to work to strict timeframes
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proficient in MS Office
