On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineering Supplier Industrial Leader on a 6 -month basis. As the Manufacturing Engineering Supplier Industrial Leader you will provide technical Manufacturing Engineering support to suppliers across both current serial production programmes and next-generation aircraft.

Role: Manufacturing Engineering Supplier Industrial Leader
Pay: £40.13 Per hour via Umbrella rate
Contract: Monday to Friday, 365Hours a week, 6 -month contract
Location: Filon
IR35 Status: Inside
Responsibilities

  • Provide Manufacturing Engineering support to suppliers across serial and new aircraft programmes.
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and Transfer of Work (ToW) activities.
  • Develop supplier industrial capability across Aerostructures and Detail Parts.
  • Lead Supplier Industrial Reviews and support industrialisation through to handover.
  • Drive supplier process improvement, quality, performance and manufacturing innovation.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis of technical issues and identify manufacturing capability concerns.
  • Contribute to Design Reviews, providing Design for Manufacture and industrialisation expertise.
  • Act as the Manufacturing Industrial Authority for development projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers and travel globally when required.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing Engineering background with strong manufacturing process experience.
  • Good understanding and ability to interpret aircraft engineering drawings.
  • Experience assessing manufacturability, tolerances, dimensions and machinability.
  • Experience liaising directly with multiple suppliers, including reviewing and resolving quality issues with suppliers.
  • Experience providing industrial support on engineering modifications.
  • Experience in industrialisation, NPI, Transfer of Work and/or supplier development.
  • Strong problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of CATIA.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Aerospace experience is preferred.
  • Degree-level Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to supplier sites.
