Scope of Role

As an Off-Wing Mechanic, you will play a vital role in supporting maintenance operations within our clients LHR workshop.

  • Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and defect rectification across a range of engine types and models
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical issues
  • Carrying out heavy maintenance tasks in line with approved procedures and industry standards

Responsibilities

  • Performing engine maintenance, modification, and inspection tasks across a wide range of engine types within our capability.
  • Ensuring full compliance with EASA Part 145 regulations and company safety standards.
  • Accurately completing all associated documentation, including maintenance records and Form 1 release to service certificates.

Key Duties

  • Inspections:

Conduct routine and scheduled inspections of aero engine components and systems to identify defects or deterioration.

  • Repairs:

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural faults using approved methods and documentation.

  • Troubleshooting:

Investigate and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operational
schedules.

  • Record Keeping:

Maintain clear, accurate, and compliant records of all work performed, ensuring
traceability.

  • Customer Interaction:

Provide technical updates and manage expectations in a professional and timely manner.

  • Compliance & Safety:

Adhere strictly to EASA Part 145 standards, company procedures, and H&S policies in all aspects of the role.

  • Teamwork:

Work collaboratively with other technicians and support teams to ensure timely task
completion.

  • Continuous Improvement:

Support and deliver improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational
efficiency, safety, and quality.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 24 months of experience in the repair of large commercial engines.
  • Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to both domestic and international

locations for aircraft recovery related to engine maintenance.

  • Strong skills in compliance, quality assurance, and ensuring high levels of customer
  • satisfaction.
  • Experience with Rolls-Royce Trent engines, GE engines, CFM, and LEAP engines.
  • Experience with issuing release-to-service documentation.
