Our client has an opportunity for a Public Accounts Clerk to join them on a permanent basis. As the Public Accounts Clerk, you will be working cohesively to ensure the standard function of the team and all audits are managed within a timely manner.

Role: Public Accounts Clerk
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Hours: Full Time / Permanent / 37 hours per week (based at the company’s RAF High Wycombe site)
Salary: Discussed Upon Application
Clearance required: The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance level for this role

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with enquiries regarding JPA and Public Accounts Claims
  • When selected for audit, you will be responsible for contacting personnel regarding requirements for audit and checking the entitlement of personnel for all claims.
  • Advise personnel of the correct entitlement for travel expenses if they have entered items incorrectly onto JPA. With consent recover any monies claimed in error
  • Maintain an up to date and accurate spreadsheet containing details of all items currently on the workflow daily and show the progress of these items. Ensure all audits once cleared and recorded correctly on the spreadsheet are filed and stored safely.
  • Input onto JPA all recoveries on behalf of the Section. Inputting and raising recoveries for accommodation.

Qualifications for Public Accounts Clerk:

  • 2 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, or NVQ Business Administration Level 1
