Quality Lineside Engineer

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Quality Lineside Engineer on an initial 7-month contract. As the Quality Lineside Engineer you will be supporting the evaluation, coordination and monitoring of achieved levels of conformity in the product, process and services provided by the Business.

Role: Quality Lineside Engineer
Pay: £32.96 hour Via Umbrella + Shift allowance
Location: Broughton
Contract: Monday – Friday, 7 Months contract, Double day shift allowance Week of mornings – 6:00am – 1:10pm, Week of afternoons – 1:30pm – 8:40pm
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

• To provide specialist Quality support and advice on drawings, parts, processes, and support services, and to independently assure that Quality requirements have been met.
• Assures that the Quality system is being adhered to within the business by the business through surveillance activities.
• Assures that certification processes are consistently defined and applied within the business.
• Coordination and leadership of reported quality / technical issues from business teams and customers, ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive action is taken by the accountable function through use of multifunctional team activities and that the originator of the issue is informed.
• To perform initial investigations (e.g., Events, QLB’s, NC’s) to assess probable root cause, informing the accountable function and ensuring corrective and preventative action is taken (ambition is within one shift) preventative action to be taken through problem solving analysis through multifunctional team activities.
• To conduct investigations to assess the probable root cause of any deficiency noted during process confirmation activities, informing the accountable function, and ensuring corrective and preventive action is taken.
• Compile and Present Quality overview to the leadership team within the business area

Essential Skills:

• Quality or engineering based background within a major manufacturing industry.
• Ability to problem solve and use associated problem-solving tool sets (PPS, 5Y, Ishikawa etc)
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional production teams.
• Willingness to work double day shift patterns.
