My client is looking for an Aerospace Quality Technician to join them in Yeovil on a 6 month contract, which is likely to be extended.
Aerospace quality experience is ESSENTIAL.
As a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to shape and change Quality Procedures.

Role: Quality Technician
Pay: £23.38 per hour PAYE
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Contract: 6 months
Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday – Friday

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including:
  • Proof of Legal Right to Work
  • Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS
  • Drugs Screening.
  • UK Nationals or NATO passport holders only.

Job Profile

  • Promote and support Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) activities and initiatives.
  • Interface with regulatory bodies / customers and stakeholders representing the company at all levels ensuring positive outcomes.
  • Identify best practices driving continuous Quality improvements throughout the organisation using Kaizen and other improvement tools.
  • Lead the development and execution of the internal audit program including customer regulatory audits.
  • Manage the Supplier Audit Schedule and conduct Quality system Audits as per Site procedures.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through direct customer contact ensuring improvements in communication and customer compliance.
  • Support for the review of contractual Quality requirements to ensure compliance to the Client, Customer, EASA, CAA, AS9100 or other regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for authorisation of Quality Assurance related documentation and process approval, as directed by the Quality Manager.

Skills/Experience Required

  • Experience in compliance, proven ability to improve / re-write the Quality Management System
  • Quality in a related aerospace environment.
  • Lead Auditor Qualifications.
  • Excellent knowledge of CAA / EASA Part 21 / Part 145 / AS9100 Regulations with emphasis on Production Organizations.
  • Proven Customer experience, with solid understanding of Quality Assurance Systems.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities while working effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate ideas with clear understanding of audience and gain commitments that are critical to the success of the organisation.

Education & Training

  • Essential – Relevant degree or experience in a technical field with emphasis on Quality Assurance systems
