My client is looking for a Satellite AIT Shift Lead Engineer to join on them on a 12 month contract. As a Satellite AIT Shift Lead Engineer you will be responsible for completing all tasks as defined in the daily build plan across all the electrical and mechanical tasks for the assembly & integration planned for that day’s work in the clean room.
Role: Satellite AIT Shift Lead Engineer
Pay: £36.00 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35 (There is a 20% rate uplift during times of shift working)
Location: Stevenage
Contract: 12 months
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday – Friday Early and late shifts (Onsite)
Security Clearance: SC Clearance
Job Profile
The AIT Shift lead shall –
Advance alternative work to minimise downtime when tasks are disrupted,
Carry out pre/post shift handover documentation
Lead SQCDP meetings
Prepare operational work plan/documentation
Ensure correct H&S practices are adhered to in the clean room
Co-ordinating test for critical integrations (Solar arrays, deployments)
Co-ordinating critical systems tests (mechanical/electrical )
Shifts will be a combination of days, earlies and lates (and possibly nights) within a reasonable period of notice
Opportunity for working on other UK and overseas sites

Skills/Experience Required
Essential –
Satellite build experience
Leadership experience
Manufacturing engineering knowledge
Desirable –
Use of digital manufacturing execution tools
Deployment of Satellite Solar Arrays
Deployment of Satellite Antennas using Helium Balloon
