Are you an experienced Structures/Composite Technician with an aviation or similar engineering background?
Do you have an understanding of technical Publications and knowledge of Commercial Aerospace working practices?
If so, this could be the role for you! My client has a great opportunity for a Structures Technician to join them on a permanent basis.
Role: Structures Technician
Location: Waterford, Ireland
Salary: €35,000.00-€45,000.00
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Wet and pre-preg layup, repair of existing structures pertaining to honeycomb and fibreglass construction
  • Perform hot and cold bind repairs as per SRM, AMM, AD’s, SB’s
  • Identify damaged components by visual or tapping method
  • Determine proper repair techniques and materials
  • Review/assess Aircraft components IAW technical publications, CMMs SRM, AMM.
  • Write up inspection reports for customer review.

Requirements:

  • Good composite and metal work skills.
  • Have the ability to be able fully refurbish and paint the component you’re repairing.
  • Experienced in carrying out repairs on Aircraft flying surfaces within a workshop environment.
  • Be familiar with inspecting and releasing components to service IAW Airworthiness regulations.
  • Review/assess Aircraft components IAW technical publications, CMMs SRM, AMM.
  • Airbus A320, B737 experience in Radome, flight controls repair
  • Current HF certificates
