On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Quality Lineside Engineer on an initial 9-month contract. As the Quality Lineside Engineer, you will help resolve manufacturing issues, manage non-conformities, and ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Logistics, you will play a key role in maintaining production flow, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Role: Quality Lineside Engineer
Pay: £36.70 per hour Via Umbrella
Location: Broughton
Contract: Monday – Friday, 9Months contract, Double day shift allowance Week of mornings – 6:00am – 1:10pm, Week of afternoons – 1:30pm – 8:40pm
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

  • Provide lineside technical support to production teams to resolve issues impacting assembly and production flow.
  • Identify, document, and support resolution of non-conformities (NCs) and production disruptions.
  • Create and update technical documentation, including rework work orders, DQNs, and anomaly reports.
  • Escalate technical issues to relevant support functions (Work Prep, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean activities to improve production efficiency.
  • Monitor and flag blocked or outstanding work orders and support prioritisation of rework activities.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with Quality and EHS standards on the shopfloor.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure materials and tooling are available to maintain production flow.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace production environment.
  • Knowledge of non-conformance management and production processes.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional production teams.
  • Willingness to work double day shift patterns.
