I am seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Stores Person to join an established aviation organisation who undertake component overhauls.
Salary: £27,000 – £31,000 DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday. 9am-5.30pm
Location: Near Burgess Hill, West Sussex
Own vehicle essential due to rural location
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of aircraft parts and consumables, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Our ideal candidate will have some previous experience in an aviation stores environment, and will have a positive & proactive approach to work!
Main Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming deliveries, checking parts against purchase orders and associated airworthiness certification.
- Verify documentation to ensure correct certification and full traceability of all components.
- Book goods into stock and ensure accurate recording within company systems.
- Store and move parts within the warehouse while ensuring correct handling and packaging procedures are followed.
- Maintain clear segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, quarantine and scrap parts in accordance with Part-145 procedures.
- Issue parts and consumables to the maintenance workshop in line with work orders.
- Prepare and package customer units and components for outgoing shipment.
- Arrange and prepare parts for external repair or overhaul.
- Safely load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Support stock checks, cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accurate stock control.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Part-145 regulations and company quality standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Essential:
- Previous experience working in stores
- Understanding of aircraft parts certification and traceability (e.g. EASA Form 1 / CAA documentation)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- IT skills and experience updating inventory systems
- Already holds unrestricted rights to live and work in the UK. No sponsorships can be provided, now or in the future.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a Part-145 environment
- Forklift licence or warehouse handling experience
- Previous experience supporting aircraft maintenance operations
